TROPICAL DELIGHTS
In the first heated range, you'll find meticulously tended rows of organically grown beefsteak tomatoes, English cucumbers, red bell and shepherd peppers, mini melons, basil, parsley, and zucchini. Nestled among these familiar crops, you'll also discover an exotic section housing tropical plants like ginger and turmeric.
ABUNDANT GARDENS
As you pass through the double doors into Range Two, you'll enter a garden oasis within our greenhouse space. Comprising ten 2000 sqft bays filled with compost, coco fiber, and sand, this area boasts a rich variety of greens, kale, chard, broccoli, onions, garlic, fennel, potatoes, and spinach. These crops, along with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and melons, are offered in our four 10-week consecutive CSA sessions. Additionally, we proudly supply produce to restaurants in Toronto and the Niagara region, as well as local grocery stores during the season.
THE JOURNEY TO WELLNESS
Our commitment to health and sustainability is deeply rooted in Cindy's personal journey. Diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease in 2011, Cindy realized that true healing lay in embracing a lifestyle centered on nourishment and balance. Inspired by her healing protocol, which included daily consumption of ginger and turmeric, Cindy and Ron founded the Canadian Ginger Company in 2018, expanding their greenhouse offerings.
A FAMILY LEGACY
Both Cindy and Ron share a rich agricultural heritage, having grown up on family farms in Ontario. Today, they are proud to pass on this legacy to their three children, Ian, Tommy, and Ava, who actively contribute to our farm operations. As we look to the future, we are excited to continue evolving our offerings, with plans underway for greenhouse-grown seedless table grapes in our Greenhouse Grapery, slated for its inaugural harvest in early summer 2024.
At Fisherville Greenhouses, we blend tradition with innovation to bring you the finest in farm-fresh produce and a commitment to holistic wellness.
